Job Overview:
Accounting Specialist Primary Responsibilities:
- Process invoices into computer system with 2 or 3 part matching utilizing multiple PO platforms.
- Process miscellaneous check requests ensuring all appropriate approvals have been received
- Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
- Analyze figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Perform exception analysis and handling.
- Perform vendor statement review.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, monitoring, organizing and disseminating information from public email inbox, and handling routine correspondence as required.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships while communicating effectively with vendors, customers and internal branch and management personnel.
- Support customer payment posting functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, preferably with accounting courses. .
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a deadline-oriented Accounting Department.
Skills and Abilities and Other Requirements:
- Quick learner of accounting software.
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptionally detail oriented
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to consistently manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Microsoft Office: Excel and Word… Access is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Corporate office environment.
- 90% + keyboarding work
- Sitting for extended periods of time
